Aero Tyres And Automotive Takes Off As Latest Kumho Platinum Dealer

Leading tyre manufacturer, Kumho Tyre Australia has announced an important new addition to its premium Platinum Dealer Network, with the addition of Western Sydney dealer Aero Tyres and Automotive in Auburn to its national network.

Aero Tyres and Automotive is a relatively new Kumho tyre dealer, having been established in 2019 by passionate car enthusiast Tedd, who is the managing director of the company and assisted by general manager of wholesale, Johnnie Hong.

Not only a passionate car enthusiast, Tedd brings an infectious energy and a deep love for all things automotive.

According to Kumho Tyre Australia Retail Operations Manager Paul Deer, the appointment of Aero Tyres and Automotive as Kumho’s latest addition to the Platinum Network, will be a valuable and strong member of the network.

“The team at Aero has shown very quickly that they are committed to Kumho and to the levels of customer service and professionalism we expect from our Platinum Dealers,” said Deer.

“Aero has quickly established a great reputation and attitude in selling and servicing Kumho and we are very pleased to have them on board,” he added.

Aero Tyres and Automotive general manager, Johnnie Hong, believes it’s an honour to be selected as the latest addition to the Kumho Platinum dealer network.

“It is a great privilege to be selected as a Platinum dealer,” Hong said. “We are South Koreans by descent and very proud to be not only selling Kumho tyres but to represent one of our great industrial companies, that has proved it can produce some of the best tyres in the world at reasonable and economical pricing.”

“What we have found and proven is that the quality of Kumho tyres is extremely good and on a par with the best tyre brands in the world, but at a price point that is extremely strong. Kumho may not be the most well-known tyre brand in the world, but once they fit them and use them on their vehicles they quickly realise the quality and engineering inherent in the tyres,” he added.

That passion drives everything he and his expert team do, delivering high-quality service and precision repairs that reflect true craftsmanship.

Hong says that Tedd and the Aero Tyres and Automotive crew are committed to keeping customer’s vehicles running at their best, because when a car lasts longer, it’s better for the customer’s wallet, for the planet, and the ride they love.

“We’re more than just a garage at Aero Tyres and Automotive, we’re car people, led by a hands-on owner with a serious passion,” Hong added.

“That enthusiasm drives the way we work with precision, pride, and a commitment to keeping vehicles performing at their best, and as an authorised Kumho Platinum dealer, we have agreed to deliver premium tyre solutions along with expert advice and outstanding customer care. From everyday drivers to high-performance machines, we believe every car deserves attention to detail and service that goes the extra mile,” Hong said.

Aero Tyres and Automotive not only sells and fits Kumho Tyres it handles maintenance and regular check-ups essential for keeping vehicles in peak condition.

“Our team provides thorough servicing that ensures reliability, performance, and longevity,” said Hong.

“Whether it's minor fixes or major repairs, we offer high-quality workmanship to get you back on the road quickly with smoother, safer rides guaranteed,” he said. “We supply and fit tyres for individuals and businesses, offering both wholesale and retail options, with fast turnaround and expert fitting.”

A leading German tyre industry website has judged Kumho Tyre’s brand new Ecsta PS72 Sport as amongst the three top tyres in a wide spread performance tyre comparison test in Europe. Die Reifentester , which is a major German tyre website, whose name translates to “The Tyre Testers” used identical Volkswagen Golf GTIs to judge critical performance, safety and handling of eight of Europe’s best selling 225/40 ZR18 size performance tyres. The tests were overseen by leading tyre tester and former tyre developer Dirk Vincken, along with experienced motoring journalist Joachim Fischer, with the team comparing the tyres at the ATP proving ground at Papenburg in Germany. The Kumho Ecsta PS72 Sport was one of only three tyres, and the only non-European tyre in the comparison to be badged as “very good”. The testers said the Kumho performed well across the board, earning it the “very good” overall rating. Four of the seven tyres in the comparison were European manufactured, while there were two from Korean makers and one from Japan. The Kumho Ecsta PS72 Sport shared the winners’ podium with two European tyres, as the Kumho impressed in all disciplines, with good to very good results, and despite being amongst the least expensive tyres in the test.
